5 lb. memory foam is the densest memory foam we sell. While it won't have the same intial "ooh" and "ahh" feeling of 3 lb. or 4 lb. memory foam, it is the firmest foam of them all. If you like a firmer feel or are a larger individual, than 5 lb. foam is right for you.
3" memory foam is considered to have a medium thickness. It is thick enough to provide quite a bit of support for people who sleep on their backs or sides.
